No baby shower celebration is complete without serving a punch. Following are some great recipes for the same.
Apple Punch
A baby shower party is a great way to celebrate the pleasure of a baby's arrival. There are a variety of food recipes that can be included in this celebration. It is a great time to enjoy various snacks, desserts, cakes, and drinks. Baby shower punch has become a common part of these celebrations. It is a combination of base punch juices such as orange juice, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, etc., with different types of ice creams or sodas. You can also use slices of fresh or frozen fruits that offer an exotic taste. Certain spices such as allspice, cloves, cinnamon, etc., are also added to give a wonderful flavor. You can try the following recipes, that are refreshing as well as nutritious.

Luscious Lime Slush

  • Lemon Soda, 2 ltr.
  • Sugar, 3 cups
  • Water, 11 cups
  • Limeade Concentrate, ¾ cup
  • Chilled Lime Slices
In a freezer container, combine sugar, limeade concentrate, and water. Mix it well, until sugar is completely dissolved. Cover the container and keep it in the refrigerator. Before you serve, take it out from the freezer. Shake it vigorously, until it becomes slushy. Then add soda, just before serving. Decorate it with chilled lime slices.

Banana Slush

  • Bananas, (mashed) 5
  • Water, 5 cups
  • Pineapple Juice, 32 oz.
  • Sugar, 5 cups
  • Orange Juice, 2½ cups
  • Lemons, (juiced) 2
  • Soda
Dissolve sugar in the water. Heat this solution, until sugar is completely dissolved. Let the sugar solution cool down completely. Then add mashed bananas, lemon juice, orange juice, and pineapple juice to this solution. Stir to mix well and keep it in the freezer. When it has to be served, remove from the freezer and allow it to melt slightly. Pour it into serving cups and add soda.

Apple Punch

  • Apple Juice, 48 oz.
  • Orange Juice, 32 oz.
  • Pineapple Juice, 1 cup
  • Whole Cloves, 8
  • Cinnamon Sticks, 2
  • Chilled Ginger Ale, 28 oz.
Keep the apple juice in a saucepan. Tie together cloves and cinnamon in a cheesecloth and add it in the pan. Allow the juice to simmer uncovered for about 15 minutes. Then discard the spice bag. Mix the spiced apple juice with remaining chilled juices (pineapple juice, lemon juice, and orange juice). While serving, keep a large block of ice in a large bowl. Add the juice mixture to it. Then add chilled ginger ale and serve.

Pretty Pink Punch

  • Can of Pineapple Juice, 46 oz.
  • Strawberry Ice Cream, (softened) 32 oz.
  • Red Cinnamon Candies, (divided) ⅔ cup
  • Water, ½ cup
  • Sugar, ¼ cup
  • Ginger Ale, (chilled) 32 oz.
  • Frozen Pink Lemonade Concentrate, 12 oz.
Sprinkle ⅓ cup cinnamon candies into 5 cup ring molds, which are sprayed with vegetable spray. Spread ice cream on the top. Cover it with a plastic wrap and freeze it. In a small saucepan, combine sugar, remaining cinnamon candies, and water. Bring it to boil. Reduce the heat and simmer with frequent stirring, until candies are completely dissolved. Keep it aside and allow it to cool completely. Pour cooled mixture into a large bowl and add pink lemonade and pineapple juice. Just before serving the punch, add ginger ale. Remove the ice cream from the mold and add it to the punch. This will make a wonderful presentation.
