As the name suggests, ghetto names are most commonly found in various ghettos across the country. A ghetto is the name given to the African-American neighborhoods or communities, and it is considered to be a derogative term in some parts.
These names sound like traditional orthodox names, but are spelled differently. The different spellings are chosen either because the parents are unaware and ignorant about the real spellings, or because they want the child to have a unique name. These names are very common in most of these neighborhoods, and you will find many children and people there with very uniquely spelled names. Some parents also choose ghetto baby names as nicknames to their babies.
